Museum & Art Swindon

Families, get creative this half-term at Museum & Art Swindon!

There will be a range of FREE art and craft activities to try in our Activity Space on Saturday 23 and Wednesday 27 May.

Activities are inspired by this year’s National Year of Reading campaign and our William Morris exhibition which you can explore for free beforehand or afterwards.

Plus, see fantastic new short film ‘Kahaani’ from CREATE Studios. ‘Kahaani’ means ‘story’ in Hindi कहानी, Urdu کہانی, Punjabi ਕਹਾਣੀ and Bengali কাহিনী and is a Create Studios heritage project supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund. The film celebrates the inspiring stories of first and second generation South Asian communities who have made the South West their home over the last 70 years. The project celebrates stories of migration from South Asian communities across South West England and invites reflection on the importance of storytelling, heritage and community, sharing voices often under-represented in local histories. Produced in collaboration with partner groups Yeovil Art Space, BPC Indian Community and Changing Suits.

Drop-in on Saturday 23 or Wednesday 27 May, any time between 10.45am and 4pm.

All activities and entrance to the Museum are free.

No need to book. Suitable for all ages. Children under 18 must be supervised at all times.
