Discovery Visits

Facilitated school visits to support the teaching of History, Art, English and Geography.

  • 2 hour curriculum-linked visits for groups of up to 34 pupils.
  • A focus on self-led enquiry, creative thinking and enrichment.
  • A visit includes an interactive session delivered by the Learning Team, self-led opportunities to explore the galleries with supporting resources, and pre and post visit resources.
  • Includes use of the Activity Space as a base or for lunch.

See the table and menu below for the list of Discovery Visit options.

Our smaller galleries hold up to 10 pupils, so larger classes will need to be divided into groups.

Cost: £8 per head.

Self-Guided Visits

A great option for groups who want to explore at their own pace, or focus on a particular exhibition or topic.

  • Support the teaching of History, Art, English and Geography.
  • You can choose the timing and duration of your visit (dependent upon availability).
  • Self-Guided Visits include a digital Activity Pack and use of the Schools Room for lunch or as a base.
  • Visits must be booked in advance.

We strongly recommend a pre-visit before bringing a class.

Our smaller galleries hold up to 10 pupils, so larger classes will need to be divided into groups.

Cost: £4 a head.
