01793 466556We have developed and delivered outreach art sessions inspired by our collection.
Sessions have been run with: Women of the World, City of Sanctuary Open Families and Ukraine Families.
A group established by Zoe Norton and supported by Fayeza Sadat, at Swindon Hub. Creations include clay medallion hangings using plants found in Wiltshire, inspired by: Marlene Hartmann-Rasmussen’s work, Nightfall (2014 -2015), and Perfume Bottle – Grayson Perry (1985); wire herbariums, inspired by Todd’s Herbarium; tin embossing and relief printing inspired by art in Un/Common People.
City of Sanctuary Open Families at Central Library. This is a group attended by parents and their pre-school children. During sessions we created clay fossils inspired by our Jurassic collection, and paper cut gardens inspired by the Desmond Morris painting, ‘A Girl Selling Flowers’
Ukraine Families where we created paper cut characters also inspired by the Desmond Morris painting, ‘A Girl Selling Flowers’; relief printing inspired by the artwork, A’nu; and clay decorations.
