Arts Council England - Unlocking Collections

Arts Council England granted £92.7K to Museum & Art Swindon for their 'Unlocking Collections' programme.  The project is working with volunteers to research the museum's collection, improve digital records and create new displays.  Four volunteer teams are working on projects including identifying the location and details of local art, exploring Swindon's paleontological history, investigating artefacts from theatres and music venues, and examining musical instruments from South and East Asia.  This initiative has offered an exciting opportunity for Swindon residents to engage with the museum's collection and contribute diverse perspectives.
